II - English, the language that links us.

A visit to an evening class of Portuguese for foreign learners at ESSB.

At our school there is an evening class of foreign adult learners who have emigrated to Portugal and want or need to learn the Portuguese language. We had the chance to attend their class for a while and listen to some of them. They introduced themselves using their native language, which in some cases was impossible to understand. Things got easier when the learners used the English language, instead.
